The Japanese say you have three faces.
The first face, you show to the world. The second face, you show to your close friends, and your family.
The third face, you never show anyone. It is the truest reflection of who you are.

Ateneo Blue Repertory’s A New Brain: Part 3

What more can I say, other than to simply reiterate how my heart will always be grateful for such a one-of-a-kind learning experience. I may not have been able to be part of the cast, but I sure am proud to have been able to manage such a great production.

Ateneo Blue Repertory’s A New Brain: Part 2

I had the pleasure of leading the production team of A New Brain, as its Production Manager. Though conflicting with my desire to perform, I decided to push through with the decision since I was personally asked to manage the production. i wouldn’t want to abandon my org in a time of need. It was a good three and a half months of toil to say the least, but it was all worth it. I may not have been able to perform, but I’m very happy and grateful to have been able to accomplish such a great feat of leading the entire team to stage such a fantastic production. Some audience members even claimed that it was their their favorite blueREP production to date, while some people who have never seen a blueREP play were pleasantly surprised at the abundance of passion and talent present in a college production.

Ateneo Blue Repertory’s A New Brain : Part 1

Last August 2013, the Ateneo Blue Repertory daringly produced “A New Brain,” a musical comedy that portrays the dilemma of a struggling songwriter, who was diagnosed with a terminal disease; his greatest fear is to die with his greatest songs still inside him. A solid artistic and production team is the reason for the play’s success. Toff De Venecia, despite the difficulty of the material gives justice to the play through his amazing direction and vision, without which such a beautiful staging could not exist. The musical direction of Gala Sanchez and Dana Marquez brought out the cast’s powerful and enchanting voices. To add, the elegant well-crafted minus ones used for the musical were created by Dana Marquez. Meliton Roxas Jr. masterfully lights up the brilliantly designed and decorated stage created by CJ Francisco.
